Jonathan Grella launched JAG Public Affairs in 2019, specializing in high-impact communications and advocacy.

For well over two decades, Grella has built a stellar reputation as a dynamic leader and communicator across a wide array of arenas: political, corporate, association, as well as pro sports.

Grella has served as Chief Communications Officer for LIV Golf, where he swiftly helped establish the startup league’s communications functions and manage its extremely high global profile.

For six years, Grella quarterbacked the U.S. Travel Association’s renowned public affairs operation as executive vice president, leading the association’s government relations, communications, marketing, research, grassroots and political action committee (PAC) to new heights.

Previously, Grella led communications for the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he transformed the franchise’s public relations operation.

Prior to his foray into the NFL, Grella accumulated a wealth of high-profile public affairs experience in Washington, D.C. He is the former senior vice president of communications and strategy for Securing America’s Future Energy, a policy advocacy organization formed by top CEOs and military leaders. Before that, he was vice president of public affairs and media relations for Edelman.

Grella began his career on Capitol Hill, where he served as press secretary for the House Majority Leader and the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Grella earned his Master of Arts degree in American Politics from The Catholic University of America and Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Villanova University.

Grella served as a key member of the Public Affairs Council’s Executive Committee and co-founded Villanova University’s Public Policy Advisory Council.

In his spare time, he coaches youth sports in Chevy Chase, Maryland, where he resides with his wife, son, and daughter.
